Jeep Rubicon

On this project the goal was to create a very capable  luxurious trail vehicle.  We started with a 2008 4 door Rubicon that was fully loaded. Then we installed a 6.1 hemi conversion AEV kit putting it up to 450 horse power.  We also used a 3/4 ton 4×4 transmission and all new crate parts. Adding an aluminum radiator to make sure it always runs super cool. Then we chose a Teraflex long arm suspension for lift and travel. I decided to use Dyna Trac 60s bolt in axles 538 gears air lockers in the front and rear with heavy duty drive shafts to handle the extra horse power from the Hemi. Myself and a fab guy spent 3 solid months full time to make sure every thing was done right. To give it some extra style the shop removed the stock top and used a Wild Boar angled back top with power sunroof that was painted to match the body. We then cut 8″ off the frame front and rear to increase the approach angle. Since we cut the frame we replaced the bumpers with hand made chrome custom bumpers. We cut the body, flairs and nerf bars to clear the 39.5″ tire. The tires were mounted on Walker Evans 17X10 bead locks and we used 39.5″ Iroks. So then hydrallic assist steering was installed.  To clean up the body we smoothed out the tailgate. To give this trail rig all the needed luxury the vehicle was equiped with satalite radio, 6 disc cd player, ipod hookup, power steering, power door locks, ac, power windows, tilt wheel, cruise control and a power sun roof. With all these extras this Jeep makes it very easy to go down any trail with comfort and ease.
